This year, we will have at least 60 air-conditioned mikrotrans

Jakarta Dishub Head, Syafrin Liputo stated, the air-conditioned Mikrotrans program was initiated to make public transport users comfortable in order to implement one of Jakarta Governor's programs, namely improving public services in Jakarta.

"I appreciate PT. Transjakarta management for implementing air-conditioned Mikrotrans program as an effort to meet the minimum service standards as mandated in Gubernatorial Regulation No. 13/2019," he mentioned.

For now, the program will be prioritized for fleets in routes which integrated with train stations that have been arranged and routes that have not been crossed by Transjakarta fleets in order to meet the 95 percent of service area coverage.

"I hope small bus operators can understand it. Of course, it will be implemented gradually and consistently," he conveyed.

PT. Transjakarta President Director, Mochammad Yana Aditya explained, through the program, his side wanted to introduce the new face of Jakarta's public transportation, which is safer and more comfortable, equipped with CCTV, GPS, and automatic doors controlled by driver.

"This year, we will have at least 60 air-conditioned mikrotrans. We believe that improving public transportation through JakLingko system can encourage more residents to take public transportation," he said.
